FAQ

What is SecureView™?

SecureView™ is a retrofit window security system that mounts onto or over existing glazing. Featuring 6063-T5 aluminum framing and military-grade polycarbonate panels, it provides exceptional impact resistance and forced entry protection. SecureView™ enhances energy efficiency of windows and maintains a sleek, aesthetically pleasing appearance, seamlessly integrating with both commercial and residential properties for year-round window security and peace of mind.

Why SecureView™?

Strength, Reliability, and Durability: SecureView™ provides unparalleled forced entry protection and impact resistance. This advanced window protection system withstands severe weather conditions and attempted break-ins, ensuring reliable business and home security. Additionally, Secureview™ protects against accidental impacts such as golf balls or base balls.
SecureView™ offers long-lasting durability, utilizing military-grade polycarbonate that is coated with a scratch- resistant, and UV light resistant hard coat ensuring years of protection and clear secure views.

24/7 Protection: SecureView™ serves as a discreet window and door protection system, delivering constant security without drawing attention to its form, fit, and function. Like an invisible window board-up, it offers round-the-clock, year-round protection without compromising the look of an existing facade.

Framing System: SecureView’s™ framing systems are designed for maximum strength while ensuring a clean, elegant appearance. The durable window framing utilizes fasteners for a secure and strong attachment. The framing is specifically engineered to withstand attacks and impacts, providing superior protection.

Thermal Expansion Allowance: Engineered for various climates and conditions, SecureView™ systems have a thermal expansion allowance that provides space for expansion and contraction of the military-grade polycarbonate in various climates. This free movement prevents unsightly panel bowing and distortion.

Ventilation: Our internal venting system prevents condensation build-up and equalizes the temperature and pressure between the existing glass and the polycarbonate panel of the SecureView™ system.

How is SecureView™ installed?

SecureView™ is a retrofittable window security system that mounts onto or over existing glazing. The process begins with precise measurements to ensure a perfect fit. The framing is then secured to the facade or the existing window framing using fasteners (Framing placement is dependent on commercial or residential application). After securing the framing the military-grade polycarbonate is inserted into the framing. Where is SecureView™ installation recommended?

Commercial Storefront Security: SecureView™ is ideal for protecting retail storefronts from forced entry, smash-and-grab thefts, and vandalism. The system offers robust business security without compromising the aesthetic appeal of the storefront.

Residential Properties: Homes, especially those located in areas prone to break-ins, severe weather, or on golf courses where accidental damage from golf balls is a concern, can benefit greatly from SecureView™. This home security solution provides peace of mind with 24/7, year-round protection.

Properties in Hurricane Zones: SecureView™ is recommended for buildings in areas susceptible to hurricanes and severe storms. Its military-grade polycarbonate panels and durable framing offer superior impact resistance against storm debris and high winds.

Energy-Efficient Buildings: For properties seeking to upgrade their windows to energy efficient windows with a retrofittable solution, SecureView™ provides an extra layer of heat and UV protection, reducing energy costs and improving indoor comfort.

Areas with Civil Unrest: In locations experiencing civil unrest, SecureView™ offers a reliable solution to protect windows and doors from damage or forced entry during riots or protests, ensuring the safety and integrity of the building.

High-Security Facilities: SecureView™ is suitable for government buildings, schools, religious institutes, places of worship, and other high-security facilities where preventing unauthorized access and ensuring occupant safety is paramount.

How is SecureView™ polycarbonate unique?

Military-Grade Polycarbonate: SecureView™ utilizes military-grade polycarbonate for exceptional impact resistance and forced entry protection. This material is significantly stronger and more durable than standard polycarbonates, making it ideal for security windows and doors.

Scratch-Resistant and UV-Resistant Hard Coat: The polycarbonate panels are coated with a durable, scratch-resistant, thermally cured, hard coat that also provides excellent UV protection. This ensures long-lasting clarity and prevents yellowing and degradation from sun exposure. The UV-resistant coating not only protects the panels themselves but also helps block harmful UV rays from entering the building contributing to better energy efficiency and protects interior furnishings from sun damage.

Optical Clarity: SecureView™ polycarbonate is designed to maintain high optical clarity, ensuring that windows remain clear and visually appealing while providing robust window security.

Long-Lasting Durability: The combination of its hard coat and military-grade resin to form the polycarbonate means SecureView™ polycarbonate offers long-lasting durability, reducing the need for replacements and maintenance.
